Jackson Reed and The Silverbirds return with Live in ’25, their first EP in four years and their most ambitious project to date. The collection blends electrifying live performances with newly cut studio tracks, capturing the band at a moment of genuine breakthrough. The EP commemorates their milestone appearance in October 2025 when they shared the stage with rock legends Nazareth in front of a sold out audience of more than 2,000 at Edmonton’s River Cree Resort and Casino.

The Calgary based lineup features Jackson Reed on lead vocals and guitar, Jeremy Brigham on keyboards, Nathan Litvinchuk on drums, Deandre Crowe on bass, and newest member Tanner St. James on guitar. Fresh off the success of their 2024 release Little Red Corvette, the band spent 2025 strengthening their reputation as a dynamic touring act. They opened for fan favorites like Streetheart and 604 Records’ rising stars The Vidos. All the while, Jackson’s music podcast Guess That Record continued to attract high profile guests including Neil Giraldo, Phil Manzanera, and Dominic Miller. The invitation to perform with Nazareth became the spark for a new body of work.

“It had been a while since our last release, and I had a backlog of songs that I felt strongly about,” Reed explains. “Landing the Nazareth show was a huge moment for us, and it was the perfect chance to capture some of these new tracks. This performance became the backbone of the EP.”

Live in ’25 highlights the band’s evolving musicianship and the in the room chemistry that has defined their rise. “Did I Miss Out” and “Maxine” deliver the energy and showmanship that have become their signature, while “Warmth of July” reveals a more intimate side of the group and showcases Reed’s growth as a storyteller. Rounding out the EP is the studio cut “Do You Feel The Way I Do,” which continues the polished pop direction Reed introduced with the 2023 release In My Head.

A live release of this scale is uncommon today. Yet for a band that proudly embraces its classic rock roots, it feels perfectly aligned. The record puts listeners in the front row, capturing the power, character, and excitement of a defining moment in the band’s early history.

Live in ’25 arrives alongside a companion concert film that merges performance footage with narrative elements to paint a fuller picture of the band’s evolution. As Nazareth frontman Carl Sentance said after watching their set, the group is “the next big thing.”
